According to Facebook’s official statistics, there more than 800 million active users. Imagine what would it look like if all these members profile photos would be combined and be turned into a Wallpaper?

Now stop imagining because German art students Joern Roeder and Jonathan Pirnay, through their project called “fbFaces“, has harvested 100,000 profile pictures and used them to print out an intense wallpaper for the entire room using a crawler that traverses the Facebook social graph.

The result? A room filled with information and incredible amount of data and images that looks beyond awesome.

Last year, Mashable did a similar project to honor their fans by decorating the walls of their headquarters in New York City with the faces of hundreds of thousands of Facebook fans. It looks like Facebook is not only the 5th largest country – virtually – for in reality, it can also fill the largest walls.
