The way people keep themselves updated with the latest events and happenings have evolved. The usual listening to the radio and reading in the newspapers have shifted to reading blogs, following favorite celebrities from social networking and sharing sites like Facebook and Twitter. People can now easily watch their favorite bands on YouTube and be able to provide feedback and as opposed to traditional media where the listeners are just the receivers.

The technology has opened the communication lines between its receivers and senders making it a two-way communication. May it serve as a reminder to corporations to make use of the shift of paradigm to make better efforts when connecting with the people to not just control the communication but make it a point to listen, engage and truly give voice to its followers, provide better service not just online but most importantly offline.
