Social Media and PR disasters happen from time to time. Brands, no matter how big or small, have to deal with it.It is therefore safe to establish a social media crisis plan in order to avoid or at least minimize the effects of it.

According to Jeremiah Owyang’s, Social Business Readiness Report (August 2011) 76% of social media crises could have been avoided or diminished if only companies made some internal investment in social media planning and preparedness.
